Puff pastry parcels with goat cheese

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 8 slice(s) puff pastry, square
  • 1 stalk(s) leek
  • 1 onion(s)
  • ½ garlic clove(s)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 50 g bacon
  • Salt and pepper, black
  • 125 g cheese, goat cheese (45% fat)
  • 1 egg yolk

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Place the puff pastry sheets on a baking sheet and let it thaw. Trim and wash the leeks, cut them into rings, and blanch them in salted water. Finely chop the onion and garlic and sauté them in olive oil. Add the diced ham, drain the leeks, add them, and heat briefly. Season with salt and pepper. Fold in the goat cheese cubes. Brush the edges of the puff pastry sheets with egg yolk, place the filling in the center, fold two opposite corners over the filling, and press down lightly. Brush with the remaining egg yolk. Bake in a preheated oven (200°C/400°F) (Gas Mark 3) for 18-20 minutes.
