Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 3 packs of puff pastry
  • 400 g hazelnuts, ground
  • 200 g sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 drops of bitter almond flavor
  • some milk

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Nutty flavor

Mix the hazelnuts, sugar, eggs, flavoring, and milk. Roll out the puff pastry into three sheets. Spread half of the hazelnut mixture evenly on the first sheet. Cover with the second sheet and spread the remaining mixture on top. Finally, cover everything with the third sheet. Cut the rectangle into small sticks, approximately 1 cm thick. Twist each stick into a spiral shape and bake on a baking sheet at 150°C fan-assisted oven for 15 to 20 minutes. Dust with powdered sugar, if desired.
