Puff pastry strips with plums

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 package of puff pastry from the refrigerated section (roll, 270 g, 42 x 24 cm)
  • ¼ liter of milk
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • ½ pack of pudding powder (vanilla flavor)
  • 1 ¼ kg plum(s)
  • 9 tsp brown sugar
  • Granulated sugar for sprinkling

Instructions

Working time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour

Remove the puff pastry from the refrigerator and let it rest in the packaging for about 10 minutes. Bring 200 ml of milk to a boil. Mix 50 ml of milk, sugar, and pudding powder until smooth, stir into the milk, and simmer for about 1 minute while stirring. Cover the pudding surface with foil and chill. Wash, halve, and pit the plums. Cut the plum halves into thin slices. Divide the pastry strips into thirds. Spread each with 1-2 tablespoons of pudding. Top with plum slices. Line 2 baking sheets with baking paper. Place the pastry strips on top. Sprinkle each with 1 teaspoon of brown sugar. Bake one after the other in a preheated oven (top/bottom heat: 200°C, fan: 175°C) for 25-30 minutes. Sprinkle with sugar.
