Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g quark
  • 250 g flour
  • 75 g sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 125 ml milk
  • Raisins or apple pieces
  • Sugar, with cinnamon or rum flavor, for rolling
  • Fat, for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Specialty from the Lower Rhine

Combine the quark, sugar, vanilla sugar, and eggs. Combine the flour and baking powder and stir in with the milk. You can also stir raisins or apple pieces into the batter. Fry the batter spoonful by spoonful in hot oil or frying fat. Coat the finished puff pastry in sugar.
