Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g chicken breast
  • 200 ml water
  • 1 tsp chicken broth
  • 1 sprig(s) basil
  • ½ lemon(s), sliced
  • 4 tsp tomato paste
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 1 tsp paprika powder, hot
  • ½ tsp cumin powder
  • 2 tsp oregano
  • 2 tsp balsamic vinegar
  • salt and pepper

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 22 minutes; Total time approx. 32 minutes

the quick cheat variant

For the pulled chicken, bring the water to a boil with the broth, lemon slices, and basil. Add the chicken breast, cover, and simmer over low heat for 15-17 minutes. Remove from the heat and let it simmer for another 2-3 minutes. Remove the meat and tear it into strips with two forks. Season the pulled chicken with the tomato paste and the remaining ingredients and mix well. Perfect with burgers, as a taco filling, or on a salad.
