Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 kg pork shoulder or roast pork or rolled roast or turkey breast
- 250 ml barbecue sauce of your choice
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 hours; Total time approx. 10 hours 30 minutes
Roasting at low temperature, also possible with turkey
If you like, you can use a marinade syringe to evenly inject the BBQ sauce into the meat. Rub the meat lightly with the BBQ sauce. Place the meat and the remaining sauce in a roasting bag and seal it tightly. Optionally, let the marinated meat rest in the refrigerator overnight. Place the filled roasting bag in a casserole dish and cook the meat in the oven (convection oven) at 90°C for 8-10 hours. Remove the meat from the roasting bag (be careful with the hot sauce) and place it in a bowl. Finely shred the meat with two forks and mix it with the remaining sauce from the roasting bag. Enjoy the pulled pork on a burger bun with delicious coleslaw. Alternatively, you can use a large piece of turkey breast instead of pork. This also tastes delicious and stays wonderfully moist thanks to the gentle cooking process. Tip: I use my own barbecue sauce.
