Autumnal Pumpkin Latte Macchiato

This is the perfect recipe to sweeten the ever-shortening autumn days. Pumpkin spice syrup is so popular for a reason. It’s great not only in coffee, but also simply in warm soy milk or muesli. Housed in a pretty bottle with a hand-lettered label, it makes a fantastic gift! Heat water, sugar, and vanilla sugar in a saucepan. Boil the sugar syrup until thick, then remove from the heat. Puree the pumpkin and add the puree to the warm sugar syrup. Mix the cinnamon, clove powder, and ginger powder together, then add the spices to the syrup and mix everything together. Froth the milk and pour into a latte macchiato glass. Brew an espresso and stir in a teaspoon of syrup. Then slowly pour the espresso into the milk. Decorate the top of the foamed milk with two teaspoons of syrup to taste and serve the pumpkin spice latte. Store the remaining syrup in the refrigerator.
