Pumpkin – Tomato – Chutney from Rosinenkind

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1,500 g pumpkin flesh, diced
  • 2 can/n tomatoes, chopped or similarly fresh peeled
  • 3 onions, peeled and diced
  • 4 cloves garlic, or more, cleaned, chopped
  • 300 ml balsamic vinegar, white
  • 300 g brown sugar
  • 10 grains of allspice
  • 1 chili pepper(s), dried
  • 2 tbsp salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Combine all ingredients in a saucepan, bring to a boil, and simmer over low heat until soft and thickened. Purée slightly with a hand blender if necessary. Season to taste. While still hot, pour into prepared twist-off jars, screw on the lids, and let cool. It’s a mild, slightly spicy chutney that goes well with everything.
