Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 4 pork schnitzels
- 3 small onions
- 100 g smoked belly
- 190 g Puszta salad
- 1 jar mushrooms, sliced (about 240 g)
- 250 ml cream
- salt and pepper
- Mustard
- Tomato paste
- oil
Instructions
Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 25 minutes
Brown the schnitzels in hot oil on both sides. Season with salt and pepper, spread a thin layer of mustard and tomato paste on both sides, and place in a greased baking dish. Slice the onions, cut the bacon into strips, and sauté in the remaining fat. Drain the Puzsta lettuce and mushrooms in a sieve, add to the onions, mix with the cream, and spread over the schnitzels. Place the schnitzels in the oven and cook for about 45 minutes at 160°C (fan oven) or 180°C (top/bottom heat). Serve with spaetzle or rice.
