Quark – Applesauce – Cake with Sprinkles

Ingredients
 

  • 300 g Flour
  • 150 g Sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 packet Vanilla sugar
  • 150 g Cold butter
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1 Glass Applesauce 380 grams
  • 150 g Butter
  • 125 g Sugar 1
  • 1 packet Vanilla sugar
  • 1 Leases Lemon peel
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 250 g Mascarpone
  • 250 g Quark 40%
  • 1 packet Vanilla pudding
  • 2 Free range eggs

Instructions
 

  • Put the flour, cold butter, sugar, salt, vanilla sugar and the cinnamon in a bowl and make a crumble batter by hand. Now put 2/3 of the dough in the prepared springform pan, press down and press up one edge.
  • Mix the softened butter in a mixing bowl until frothy. Add sugar, vanilla sugar, lemon zest and lemon juice and stir in well. Add the eggs to the butter mixture and stir everything together until creamy. Stir in the quark and mascarpone. Finally stir in the vanilla pudding.
  • Spread the applesauce evenly on the dough base. Add the quark mixture and smooth it out. Spread the remaining dough on top as a crumble.
  • Place the cake in the (fan-assisted) oven preheated to 200 degrees and bake for approx. 45 - 50 minutes. When the baking time is over, take it out of the oven, let it cool down for 15-20 minutes, remove the edge of the springform pan and let it cool down.
