Quark balls with topping

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 250 g quark
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tbsp oat flakes
  • ½ tsp mustard, hot
  • salt and pepper
  • 100 g turkey breast slices, or chicken breast
  • some lettuce leaves
  • 1 tomato(s), sliced
  • Ketchup, light

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

as a bread substitute, low carb

Mix the quark, eggs, oats, and mustard well and season with salt and pepper. Drop the dough by the tablespoon onto a baking sheet and bake in the oven for about 20 minutes. This makes about 8 quark balls. Once cooled, spread them with ketchup and top with chicken or turkey breast, lettuce, and tomato to create a low-carb sandwich.
