Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 400 g low-fat curd cheese
  • 200 g wholemeal spelt flour
  • 200 g wheat flour
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 100 g oat flakes
  • 200 g walnuts, chopped
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 shot of agave syrup as a sugar alternative

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Mix the low-fat quark with the flour and baking powder. Add the oats and chopped walnuts, along with a pinch of salt and a little agave syrup for flavor. Knead the dough mixture vigorously with a dough hook or by hand until a smooth dough forms. Add a little more low-fat quark or lukewarm water if needed to perfect the consistency. Now form the dough into a round or oblong loaf on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. If desired, the dough can be sprinkled with walnuts, oats, or other seeds before baking. Bake the bread for about 35 minutes in a preheated oven (convection oven, 160°C) until golden brown.
