Quark Cake with Hazelnut Apricots
The perfect quark cake with hazelnut apricots recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
The dough
- 4 Pcs. Free range eggs
- 200 gr, Extra fine sugar
- 1 pinch Salt
- 200 Milliliters Milk
- 200 Milliliters Oil neutral
- 250 g Sifted flour type 405
- 2 Teaspoon. Baking powder
- 200 g Ground hazelnut
- Parchment paper pie baking form
Curd mass
- 500 g Quark semi-fat
- 4 Pcs. Eggs
- 100 g Sifted powdered sugar
- 1 half a lemon Bio lemon zest
- 1 half pod Vanilla pulp
- Icing sugar for dusting
The dough
- Please preheat the oven to 180 °: Line the baking pan with the baking paper. Weigh the ingredients, set them apart, the food processor is ready to go. Let the apricots drain, you can catch the juice for a drink. Chop the nuts in a blender.
Here we go
- Beat the eggs in the mixing bowl until frothy, sieve in the powdered sugar, the mass should be light and frothy, let the oil run in in a fine stream, so it combines with the mass quite well, then the milk also run in a fine stream . At a low setting, whip for a good 5 minutes. Then sift the flour with the baking powder, add the ground nuts. This dough comes into the mold, smooth everything out.
Curd mass
- Put the quark into the mixing bowl with the whisk, stir the eggs until I add them one by one, then sift in the powdered sugar, add the vanilla pulp and add the lemon zest. Pour this mixture onto the base dough and spread it with a fork or spoon (like a marble cake). Then come the apricots, which I cut into fans.
- Since every oven bakes a little differently, I turn mine back to 175 °. I slide the mold into the middle rail and wait until my alarm clock beeps. It should be 45 minutes. And what can I say, a splendor shines towards me. Let it cool down a bit, and then the icing sugar is used.
- This cake is a dream: Thanks to “löwe_bs Barbara” our coffee on the terrace was perfect. It is worth re-baking: With small changes. Thank you very much. Unfortunately I did not find any preparation pictures. What a shame, but I have one of the rest took some pictures.
