Quark dumplings

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 500 g quark
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 4 tbsp flour (can be a little more or less)

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

from Grandma Helga’s cookbook

Mix the quark with the eggs and salt. Gradually add the flour until the mixture can be easily scooped out into medium-sized dumplings using a tablespoon. Bring a generous amount of water with a little salt to a boil, then reduce the heat to low. Scoop out dumplings with a tablespoon and hold them in the water with a spoon. The dumplings will float away from the spoon. Simmer in the water until they float to the top. Then remove the dumplings with a slotted spoon and let them drain slightly. We serve this with cherry soup, blueberry soup, or cooked dried fruit.
