Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g butter or margarine
  • 200 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 500 g low-fat curd cheese, 0.2% fat
  • 450 g flour
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 150 ml mineral water
  • Fat for the waffle iron

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Makes about 15 waffles. Combine the butter, sugar, and vanilla sugar in a mixing bowl and beat with a hand mixer until fluffy. Add the eggs and quark one at a time and mix in. Lightly mix the flour with the baking powder and add gradually, don’t forget the salt. If the mixture gets too thick to stir, add a little mineral water to make it easier. Repeat this process until all the flour is used up and the mixture has reached the desired consistency. Now preheat the waffle iron. Brush the hot waffle iron with oil, margarine, or butter and bake the waffles until golden brown.
