Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 700 g plum(s) (prunes)
  • 125 g butter
  • 125 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 175 g flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder, level
  • 120 g almond(s), ground
  • Fat, for the shape
  • 1 tbsp sugar, for sprinkling

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Wash the plums, drain, cut in half, and remove the stones. Cream the butter, sugar, and vanilla sugar until fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time. Mix the flour, baking powder, and almonds and stir in. Grease a 24 cm springform pan. Pour in the batter. Arrange the plums, cut-side up, on the batter in a layered pattern. Bake in a preheated oven (bottom rack) at 200 degrees (E) or gas mark 3 (G) for about 40 minutes. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with sugar.
