Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 200 g almonds, finely ground
  • 1 ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 100 g cheese, grated
  • 80 g butter, cold, in pieces
  • 100 ml cream
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 2 tsp herbs, dried

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. First, combine the dry ingredients. Then, combine with the butter to form a crumbly dough. Make a well in the center and add the egg and cream, mix gently, then stir in the cheese. Form the wet mixture into balls or rolls and place them on baking paper. Bake for 20 minutes. This pastry makes a great side dish; a few herbs add a touch of Italian flair.
