Quick blackberry sauce

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 250 g blackberries
  • 5 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • ½ tsp cinnamon

Instructions

Working time approx. 2 minutes; Rest time approx. 7 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 2 minutes; Total time approx. 11 minutes

Bring the water to a boil in a saucepan and immediately add the berries. After it has boiled briefly (about 1/2 minute), remove the pan from the heat, cover, and let it steep for 7-8 minutes, then let it cool. Gently stir in the honey and cinnamon. Tip: Divide the still-most-whole berries and their juice between bowls, place a scoop of ice cream in the center, and serve with ice cream cones. If you want juice without the berries, strain everything through a sieve.
