Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 kg cucumber(s) (pickled cucumbers)
- 2 dill (fresh umbels)
- 1 horseradish, fresh
- 2 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 6 tbsp vinegar
- 2 tbsp mustard seeds
- 2 onions, quartered
- 2 bay leaves
- 6 peppercorns
- 6 grains of allspice
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
Peel the cucumbers and halve them lengthwise, quartering larger ones. Place the cucumbers in a tightly sealed plastic or clay container, add all the other ingredients, and mix well. Seal the container tightly and refrigerate. The cucumbers will be ready to eat after about 5 days. They should definitely be refrigerated at this point.
