Ingredients for 10 servings:
- 1 kg salad cucumber(s) (green cucumbers)
- 6 tbsp vinegar (herb vinegar)
- 6 tbsp sugar
- 2 tsp salt
- 3 tsp mustard seeds
- n. B. onion(s)
- n. B. garlic clove(s)
- dill
- 1 tbsp peppercorns
- n. B. Chili pepper(s), dried
Instructions
Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes
Peel the cucumbers, cut into pieces, and place them in a bowl. Peel the onions and slice them into rings. Peel the garlic and slice or chop them. Add them to the cucumbers. Add the spices to the cucumbers. Make a marinade from vinegar, sugar, and salt and pour it over the cucumbers. Close the bowl and shake vigorously. Let it marinate for 24 hours before serving. Tip: Can also be made with zucchini, or half cucumber and half zucchini. Tastes great on a barbecue or simply on its own with bread.
