Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1 kg pork goulash, cut into smaller pieces
  • 1 large onion(s), diced
  • 125 g bacon, diced
  • 3 gherkins, diced
  • 1 can mushrooms, whole
  • 125 ml red wine
  • 500 ml water
  • 1 can tomato(s) (Pizza tomatoes)
  • 2 cubes of meat broth
  • 2 tbsp paprika powder, sweet
  • 1 tsp paprika powder, hot
  • some water
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ½ tsp spice mix (shashlik spice)
  • 3 tbsp cream
  • some sauce thickener, darker
  • 2 tsp sugar

Working time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

a delicious, lightning-fast homemade creation

Fry the chopped meat cubes in hot oil and let them brown slightly. Add the diced onion and bacon and fry. Then add the mushrooms and diced gherkins and fry briefly. Deglaze with the red wine. Add the pizza tomatoes and top up with water. Now add the meat stock cubes to the sauce and stir in the paprika, sugar, and shish kebab seasoning. Let it simmer slightly. Season with salt and pepper and thicken slightly with a sauce thickener. Finish with cream. Serve with spaetzle.
