Quick ham croissants

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 2 packs of puff pastry, rolled up and ready to bake
  • 100 g ham
  • ¼ bell pepper(s), yellow
  • 2 tbsp sour cream
  • 1 tbsp corn
  • 2 tbsp cheese, finely chopped
  • salt and pepper
  • chili powder
  • 1 tbsp herbs

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Cut the ham and bell peppers into small cubes, add the sour cream and cheese, and season generously with the herbs and spices. Beat the egg. Roll out the puff pastry and cut into approximately 12 x 12 cm squares. Place a tablespoon of filling on each square, brush the edges with egg, and shape into croissants. Place on a baking sheet and brush the croissants with another layer of egg. If desired, sprinkle with finely grated cheese. Bake in a preheated oven at 190°C for approximately 10-15 minutes until golden brown. Serve warm or cold. Serve with a glass of wine or beer.
