Quick herring salad

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 packs of herring fillet(s) in cream sauce, 400 g each
  • 1 jar of beetroot, 220 g drained weight
  • 2 large apples, e.g. Elstar
  • 4 gherkins
  • e.g. walnuts
  • n. B. Egg(s), hard-boiled

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

simple, good and cheap

Cut the drained beets, gherkins, and peeled apples into small cubes and place them in a large bowl. Cut the herring fillets into small cubes, add them to the bowl along with the cream sauce, and mix everything well. If desired, you can also stir in a few coarsely chopped walnuts. The herring salad is delicious served with hard-boiled eggs and toast.
