Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • ½ cube of fresh yeast, crumbled
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 125 ml milk or plant milk, lukewarm
  • 250 g spelt flour type 630
  • ½ tsp cardamom powder
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 tbsp fruit vinegar or apple cider vinegar
  • 100 g raisins
  • Flour for the hands
  • n. B. Butter for spreading

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Dissolve the yeast and sugar in the lukewarm milk. In a bowl, combine the flour and cardamom. Now add the milk mixture, egg, vinegar, and raisins and mix with a spoon. With floured hands, first form balls, then flatten them. Bake in the air fryer, depending on the capacity, for about 8-10 minutes in one or two baking cycles at 180°C. After baking, brush with a little butter while still hot. These rolls are a little lighter than usual because the dough contains no butter and only a little sugar. There’s no need to rise the dough, and baking in the air fryer is quick.
