Lemon Tart

Heat the milk and butter in a saucepan until very hot. Meanwhile, squeeze the lemons, add the custard powder to the juice, and mix. Add the sugar and mix everything until smooth. Separate the egg. Whisk the custard powder into the hot, but not boiling, milk. Once the mixture thickens, stir in the egg yolk. Pour the lemon custard mixture onto the finished cake base and allow to set. Enjoy the cake with whipped cream or on its own. Tip: The egg whites can be whipped and piped in dots on the finished cake, then flaming.
