Apple cake

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 4 apples
  • 150 g flour
  • 5 tbsp oil
  • 100 g sugar
  • 2 packets of vanilla sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 200 ml milk
  • 1 shot of rum
  • Oil for the mold
  • lots of powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

from Belgium

Oil the baking pan (do not use a springform pan! The pan must be airtight). Whisk the remaining oil with the sugar, vanilla sugar, flour, salt, rum, and milk until smooth. Stir in the eggs. Peel and slice the apples, and arrange them in the pan in a shingle-like pattern. Pour the batter over the apples and bake for 45 minutes at 200°C (top/bottom heat). Once cooled, sprinkle generously with powdered sugar. Tip: My children always loved eating this apple pie as a sweet lunch in the summer. It also makes a great dessert served lukewarm with vanilla ice cream.
