Quick Naked Cake

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 Viennese cake base, light or dark
  • 1 sachet of cream powder, e.g. Dr. Oetker Paradiescreme White Chocolate or variety of your choice
  • 300 ml milk, cold
  • 5 cups whipped cream
  • 4 bags of cream stiffener
  • 1 bag of vanilla sugar
  • 500 g berries, as desired
  • e.g. powdered sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

First, wash the berries and pat them dry. Unwrap the cake base and place the first layer on a cake plate. If you like, you can use a cake ring for a more even finish. I didn’t use one. Prepare the paradise cream according to the instructions using 300 ml of cold milk and refrigerate briefly. Put the cream, vanilla sugar, and cream stiffener in a mixing bowl and beat with a hand mixer until stiff peaks form. The cream must be well chilled for this. Then carefully mix the cream with the cream. Spread a dollop of the cream mixture on the cake base and smooth it out with a palette knife. Add a few berries on top and spread another dollop of cream on top to cover the berries. Place the second cake base on top of the cream layer and press down gently. Spread the cream and berries on the base again. Place the third layer on top of the cream layer and press down. Now it’s time to decorate. To do this, spread the cream on the top layer, creating a slight dome. It doesn’t have to be perfect; that’s what makes a naked cake so special. Top with berries as desired. If you like, you can dust the berries with powdered sugar just before serving. Refrigerate the naked cake for at least an hour until serving, so the cream sets nicely. If you don’t want to use a ready-made cake base, sponge cake works perfectly too.
