Quick potato casserole

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1.2 kg potatoes
  • 400 g ham, diced
  • 4 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 400 g cheese, grated
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 5 tbsp flour
  • 1 liter of milk
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Peel the potatoes, slice them, and boil them briefly in salted water (10-15 minutes). Dice the onions and fry them with the ham. Melt the butter in a saucepan, add the flour, fry briefly, and then pour in the milk, stirring constantly with a whisk. Bring to a boil and season with salt and pepper. Simmer for a few minutes. Now fill a greased casserole dish with the ingredients: alternating potatoes, ham, and onions. Pour the sauce over everything and sprinkle with the cheese. Bake the casserole in a convection oven at 180°C for 20-30 minutes, until the cheese is melted and golden brown.
