The lightly sweetened quark mixture combined with the sweetness of the strawberries gives the cake an extremely delicious flavor. It’s also quick and easy to prepare, relatively low in calories, and doesn’t require any baking. Chop the chocolate or couverture and then melt it over a double boiler or in the microwave. Finely crumble the rice cakes. Line a rectangular (casserole) dish, or alternatively a baking frame, with baking paper. Add the almonds and crumbled rice cakes to the melted chocolate/couverture in a bowl and mix everything together. Pour this mixture into the dish lined with baking paper, spread evenly, press down firmly, and then chill for about 30 minutes. Wash the strawberries, remove the green parts, and then cut them into thick slices. Add the cottage cheese and sugar to the quark in a bowl and then mix everything thoroughly using the whisk attachment of a mixer. Pour the quark mixture onto the chilled base, spread it out, and smooth it down. Finally, arrange the strawberry slices on top, pressing them in gently. Now this delicious cake is ready to eat.
