delicious party recipe
This sandwich cake not only looks decorative – it also tastes delicious and is perfect for a party, brunch, or picnic. Cut the chives into small coils and remove the leaves from the basil. Grate or slice the cucumber into thin slices and halve the tomatoes. Cut the bread(s) into more or less thick slices. Season one-third of the cream cheese with pepper and add the chives. Mix everything thoroughly. Alternatively, you can use herb cream cheese. Season the other cream cheese with pepper and salt and mix. Optionally, you can also stir in a little sour cream for a creamier texture. Spread the cream cheese and chives on the first slice of bread, then tightly cover it with cucumber slices in a circle. Add a few dots of cream cheese on top to help the next slice of bread stick together. Place this on top, spread with the other cream cheese, top with smoked salmon, and finish with a few more dots of cream cheese. Continue in this order until the sandwich cake reaches the desired height. Top with a slice of bread and then spread cream cheese all around and on top. Cover the sandwich cake all around with Thai asparagus or chives. Decorate the top with halved red and yellow tomatoes and garnish with basil leaves. Have fun making this! Enjoy!
