Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 300 g durum wheat flour
- 450 g wheat flour type 405
- ½ tbsp sugar
- 1 packet of dry yeast
- 12 g salt
- 250 ml milk, lukewarm
- 250 ml water, lukewarm
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Sesame, optional
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 5 minutes
Combine all dry ingredients. Add the lukewarm water-milk mixture and the olive oil, and knead everything thoroughly with a food processor. You should have a smooth dough. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for 90 minutes. Then shape the dough as desired, e.g., into 2 baguettes. Lightly moisten with water, sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired, and bake in a convection oven at 175°C or 200°C (top and bottom heat) for about 25 minutes. This bread is a hit in my family; whether for grilling, with soup, or simply spread with butter.
