  • 500 g quark
  • 100 g sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 packets of baking powder
  • 500 g raisins

  • 500 ml water, for brushing

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 20 minutes

Mix all ingredients (without water) into a dough that’s easy to knead. Form a bread-shaped loaf and brush with water. If the dough is a bit too soft, simply knead in a little more flour. Let the dough rest on a baking sheet for about 20 minutes. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius (400 degrees Fahrenheit). Place the bread in the oven and reduce the temperature to 150 degrees Celsius (300 degrees Fahrenheit). Bake for about 1.5 hours. Brush with water periodically during baking.
