Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg carrot(s)
  • 1 kg apples
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 3 tbsp sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

This is how my mother got me to eat at least some vegetables

Peel the carrots and apples and grate them into thin strips. Transfer everything to a large bowl. Add the oil and lemon juice and stir again. Then fold in the sugar. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for 2-3 hours. Stir occasionally to ensure the juices are evenly distributed.
