Ingredients for 6 servings:
- 300 g ham (Italian raw ham), preferably San Daniele
- 250 g mozzarella (baby mozzarella)
- 100 g arugula
- 12 figs, blue, fresh, ripe
- Vinegar, plum or currant vinegar)
- 125 ml cream
- n. B. Madeira
- White pepper, freshly ground
- 1 tsp honey
- e.g. balsamic vinegar
- Salt
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
Spread arugula on the plate, then arrange 4-5 pieces of baby mozzarella, sliced if desired. Drape a few slices of ham on top. Drizzle with plum vinegar and garnish with sliced figs. For the sauce, combine cream with honey, balsamic vinegar, and Madeira wine, and season with salt and pepper. Spoon over the ham. Note: This appetizer also tastes delicious with strawberries.
