Red cabbage salad with cranberries

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1 ½ kg red cabbage
  • 4 onions
  • 6 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • e.g. salt and pepper
  • n. B. sugar
  • 125 ml sunflower oil or another neutral oil
  • 1 jar cranberries

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

Finely shred the red cabbage and finely dice the onions. Combine the vinegar with salt, pepper, and sugar, then stir in the oil. Pour the dressing over the vegetables, mix well, and let stand for 1 hour. Carefully fold in a jar of cranberries (just the contents, of course), let stand for a while, and season to taste.
