Red Wine Balsamic Onions
The perfect red wine balsamic onions recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 200 g Fresh pearl onions
- 2 tbsp Sugar brown
- 100 ml Port red
- 200 ml Pinot Noir
- 1 branch Fresh thyme
- 2 Bay leaf fresh
- 3 tbsp Balsamic vinegar
- 1 pinch Garlic pepper from my KB
- 1 pinch Seasoned salt from my KB
- 1 pinch Telly cherry pepper
- Peel the onions. Melt sugar in a pot and caramelize a little! Then add the onions and melt them briefly. Then carefully deglaze with both wines. Wash the bay leaves and thyme and add. Simmer with the lid closed for 10 minutes.
- Then add the garlic pepper, seasoned salt, pepper and balsamoco and simmer without the lid for 30 minutes.
- There was duck breast with potato hash browns. Also tastes super cold as an antipasti! 🙂
