Red Wine or Grape Juice?

You hear again and again that red wine is said to be heart-healthy. The reason for the “being healthy” is the contained dyes. My question: Aren’t the substances that are healthy in red wine also in (red) grape juice? Then would it be enough if I drink grape juice regularly?

The heart-protective effect of red wine is attributed to the polyphenols (secondary plant substances), especially resveratrol. These are mainly found in the skin of the red grapes.

Resveratrol is therefore also found in significant amounts in red grape juice, although the concentration is lower than in red wine.

Whether the resveratrol in red wine can actually protect wine drinkers from cardiovascular diseases and if so, how, has not yet been scientifically clarified.

The consumer centers generally do not recommend the consumption of alcohol just because it could potentially reduce the risk of a few illnesses. The negative consequences of alcohol consumption predominate.
