Red wine pear with Bethmännchen cream

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 6 bulb(s)
  • 250 ml red wine
  • 150 g raw cane sugar
  • Cinnamon
  • vanilla sugar
  • orange peel
  • lemon peel
  • 200 g marzipan
  • 1 pack of vanilla sauce powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Bring the red wine and spices to a boil. Peel and halve the pears, then simmer in the red wine stock until soft. Let cool and then score them fan-shaped. For the cream, prepare the vanilla sauce according to the instructions (it would be ideal to make your own sauce). Mix with the marzipan. This should form a very thick mixture. Pour the sauce onto dessert plates, then arrange the pears on top. Drizzle with the red wine stock and garnish with Bethmännchen (a type of biscuit). Tip: This also tastes delicious with a scoop of ice cream.
