Orange-grapefruit compote

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 oranges
  • 1 grapefruit(s)
  • 15 g cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • n. B. sweetener or sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Vitamin boost in the cold season

Peel and segment the oranges and grapefruit, reserving the juice. This works best if you work directly over a bowl. Bring the juice to a boil in a saucepan. Meanwhile, mix the cornstarch with a little water in a bowl or cup until completely dissolved. Stir the cornstarch into the boiling juice. Once the juice has thickened, remove the pan from the heat and stir in the fruit pieces. Finally, add the honey. Delicious with quark or yogurt, but also a delicious vitamin boost on its own. Tip: You can also prepare the porridge the day before. It tastes great chilled or lukewarm.
