Reshmi Kebab

The perfect reshmi kebab recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 500 g Minced meat
  • 100 g Onion, roasted
  • 1 tbsp Mint, freshly cut
  • 1 tbsp Coriander fresh, cut
  • 2 piece Garlic cloves pressed
  • 1 tsp Bacon, very finely diced
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0,25 tsp Chilli powder
  • 0,5 tsp Garam masala
  • 1 piece Egg
  1. Mix all ingredients together and place in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or better overnight.
  2. Immerse wooden skewers (I use bamboo skewers) in the water for at least 1 hour and then skewer the seasoned meat.
  3. The skewers should be about 2-3 cm in diameter. You can shape it thinner or thicker as you like, but then you have to shorten or lengthen the baking time accordingly.
  4. Spread the skewers on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. I leave about 2 cm between the skewers.
  5. Bake on the upper rail at 250 degrees for about 15 minutes.
  6. The skewers also taste very good cold and you can warm them up well after cooling in the microwave (approx. 1 minute).
