Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 2 eggs
- 250 g sugar
- 1 tbsp milk
- 1 pinch of salt
- 250 g quark
- 250 g flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 liter of oil for frying
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 3 minutes; Total time approx. 53 minutes
Whisk eggs, sugar, milk, and salt in a bowl until frothy. Add quark, flour, and baking powder a spoonful at a time and continue stirring until a smooth batter forms. Let it rest for 30 minutes. Heat the oil in a saucepan. Using 2 tablespoons, scoop out small dumplings and fry in the hot oil until golden brown. Remove from the pan and drain on kitchen paper. Let cool, then sprinkle with powdered sugar.
