Rhubarb crumble

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 5 stalk(s) rhubarb
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • ½ tbsp ginger powder
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 60 g butter
  • 60 g cane sugar
  • 100 g flour

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 55 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Wash and peel the rhubarb, cut it into approximately 8 cm long pieces, and place it on a baking tray. Spray the pieces with water and sprinkle with sugar, then place in the oven. After 10 minutes, remove the tray from the oven and sprinkle with the ginger powder. Mix everything well. Grease an ovenproof dish and spread the rhubarb in it. Knead the butter, flour, and brown sugar into crumbles. Spread the crumbles over the rhubarb, then bake in the oven for 35-45 minutes, until the crumble is crispy and the rhubarb is soft. Remove the dessert from the oven, let it cool slightly, and serve with whipped cream.
