Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g pork, e.g. goulash
  • 3 bell peppers
  • 400 g mushrooms
  • 1 vegetable onion(s)
  • 400 g tomatoes, pureed
  • 30 g tomato paste from the tube
  • 150 ml vegetable stock
  • 2 tbsp rapeseed oil
  • 2 bags of rice, approx. 250 g
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 pinch(s) curry powder
  • 1 pinch(s) paprika powder, sweet

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes

with pork and peppers

Cut the meat into small pieces, season with salt, pepper, paprika, and curry, and toss with the oil. Let the meat simmer for about 20 minutes. Dice the onion and cut the bell pepper into bite-sized pieces. Brown the meat in a roasting pan without any additional oil. Add the onions and mushrooms and fry briefly. Then add the bell pepper pieces. Deglaze with vegetable stock and the passata, then stir in the tomato paste. Cook the rice according to the package instructions. Simmer the meat until the rice is tender. Add the rice to the meat and continue simmering until the desired consistency is reached.
