Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 200 g rice (rice pudding)
- ½ liter milk (3.5% fat)
- 2 pinches of salt
- 150 g sugar
- 150 g butter
- 500 g applesauce
- 5 g cinnamon

Rice pudding with brown butter and apple sauce
Prepare the rice pudding according to the package instructions, but omit the sugar! Divide the cooked rice pudding among plates and sprinkle generously with cinnamon and sugar. Then brown the butter in a pan and pour it over the rice pudding with cinnamon and sugar while it’s still hot! Serve the applesauce separately in small bowls. Season with more cinnamon and sugar, if desired.
