Rice with Beans
The perfect rice with beans recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 1 Cup Rice
- 1 Cup Peas
- 2 cups Vegetable broth
- 1 Can Chili beans
- 1 Can Baked beans
- 1 Can Kidney beans
- 1 Onion
- 2 Garlic cloves
- 2 tbsp Tomato paste
- 1 tbsp Butter
- Salt
- Pepper
- Chili powder
- Peel the onion and garlic, dice finely and sauté in the butter until translucent.
- Stir in your rice, deglaze with the stock and let it steep in a closed saucepan for approx. 20 minutes.
- Now add the peas and beans, season everything with salt, pepper and chili powder, stir in tomato paste and carefully heat while stirring.
- Fits great as a side dish with pan-fried meat.
