Rice with turkey

Ingredients for 10 servings:

  • 1 kg diced turkey or pork
  • 3 large onions
  • 1 kg carrot(s)
  • 1 kg brown rice
  • 5 bay leaves
  • salt and pepper
  • oil
  • 1 liter of water

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Plov (Russian)

Fry the meat in oil in a pan until nicely browned. Add the onions. Peel the carrots, coarsely grate them, and fry them. Place everything in a large, wide pot. Then fill with 1 liter of water. Season, add the bay leaves, and bring to a boil briefly. Reduce the heat to the lowest setting. Add the rice, stir briefly, cover, and simmer for 40 minutes.
