Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 300 g long grain rice, parboiled
  • 600 ml water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 onions
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 400 g peas, frozen

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Place the rice in a pan with the water and salt, bring to a boil, and let it simmer for 15 minutes. Finely dice the onions and fry them in butter in a saucepan until golden brown. Add the frozen peas and simmer for 5 minutes over low heat with the lid closed. Mix the rice with the peas. We like risi bisi with roast chicken or creamed schnitzel.
