Roast chicken with tarragon sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 chickens
  • 5 garlic cloves, sliced
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 200 ml cream
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 4 tsp mustard (tarragon mustard)
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 bunch tarragon, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Wash the chicken and pat dry. Roast the chicken in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 60 minutes until crispy. Brush with oil occasionally if desired. Meanwhile, melt the butter in a saucepan and sauté the onions. Add the cream, sour cream, mustard, and tarragon and simmer for about 15 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. After baking, halve the chicken and serve with the tarragon sauce. Serve with rice or French fries and salad.
