Roast pork in a Roman pot

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg pork
  • 2 onions
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • salt and pepper
  • ¼ liter of water

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

with mustard and tomatoes

Season the pork roast with salt and pepper, place it in the Roman pot, and spread with mustard. Sprinkle the onions and tomatoes all around. Cover the Roman pot and cook in the oven at approximately 180°C for approximately 1.5 hours. Remove the lid for the last half hour. Once the meat is cooked, strain the tomato and onion mixture through a sieve, add the water, bring the sauce to a boil, and season to taste.
