Roast turkey with apple sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg roast turkey, leg or breast
  • 2 apples, peeled, pitted, diced
  • 2 onions, peeled, diced
  • ¼ liter chicken broth
  • ¼ liter apple juice
  • 1 garlic clove(s), finely diced
  • Marjoram, shredded
  • salt and pepper
  • Vegetable oil, neutral

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Sear the meat in a little oil, then remove. Brown the apples and onions with the garlic in the pan’s drippings, then add the stock and apple juice. Add the marjoram, return the meat, and simmer until tender. Once the meat is cooked, remove the meat and strain the sauce through a sieve or blend with a hand blender. Serve with red cabbage and mashed potatoes or tagliatelle.
